The North American International Auto Show is going on in Detroit (really awesome if you've never been). We've all seen the new Corvette now, but post what else you like, don't like, what's interesting, etc.

I am a German auto guy (Audi specifically) and was pretty excited to see the unveiling of the RS 7.

Toyota debuted it's Furia concept, which the new Corolla may take styling cues from

I think its great to see auto companies finally realize that, just because a car is affordable, does not mean it can't be styled nicely. See: Ford Fiesta, new Ford Fusions, Subaru/Scion BRZ/FRS

That Toyota looks absurd. No doubt it'll be roundly applauded for its "futuristic styling" because it's Japanese. If it were American, they'd call it the next Aztek.

The current Corolla is about as boring as it gets. If you're going to build (or buy) these econoboxes, why not liven them up?

If I were to ever buy a cheap car, I think it would be the Fusion.
For just over $20,000, it's a good looking car.

If it were a Dodge, the automotive world would roll their eyes and scoff but it's Japanese, so they're going to say it's brilliant.

The Fusion looks absolutely amazing. It's Aston Martin-ish. :10:

John, I was at SEMA the day that was unveiled. In fact, I was standing right next to one of the Ford grandsons when they dropped the curtain. It was the last show I went to (I think in '11). :suds:

Nice.. I seen one at this years Mustang Run in May.
What I like is it's just like the old Boss, as far as all Ford engineered/tuned.
Not a Shelby or Saleen etc..I like those cars too, but for half the money you get something that sticks to the road and is damn near as fast.

A couple years ago one of these showed up, sadly he didn't go on the run with us, but it was nice to see one in the lot being driven.

Oh man, Ford GT's are still incredibly awesome. :10: I saw a bright red one in LA one day but only caught a glimpse as he was going the other way. I almost wrecked!

John, you should come to SoCal one year and go to the Route 66 Car Show in San Bernardino. It's the biggest classic car show in the world. You walk for miles and it's just one amazing car after the other.

Those 'Stangs look totally cherry.

The one problem with the Route 66 show is that it's in early September and it can be hot as hell then. I usually ride my motorcycle up there, drink tons of water all morning and then start hitting the beer gardens early in the afternoon. It's allot of fun!

I'll never understand the appeal of all black interiors. Not only do they get hot as hell in the sun but they are just ugly. That might as well be an old CRX.

This is an interior: http://www.netcarshow.com/bentley/2012-exp_9_f_concept/800x600/wallpaper_0d.htm
