I ate the same bland, but decent, meal that we always do. If there is any variation in what he expects my brother will complain. He always has, so instead of telling him to shut up and deal with it years ago, my mother just makes the same things every year for both Thanksgiving and Christmas to appease him.

I'd love to have a deep fried turkey, or a smoked one, or a Cajun one. Or something other than turkey.
