here is what i would do

qb resign KC and colt perhaps a late round pick on a qb (hogan maybe ? )

RB i hate it but ammo needs to walk so we need to fins a RB silas redd is in the mix , jones should be and thompson should be signed . PT could be in the mix in his role . also ezekial elliot , a game changer, could be drafted . i wouldnt unless he is the BPA . i wouldnt draft henry . he doesnt fit as he is a long strider and with our weakness up the middle he could fail

wr i would keep garcon and djax cap be damned . crowder looks like a keeper and grant is a good 4th or 5th guy . signing a big tall wr or drafting one is an option but the wr class appears to be weak

TE reed , paul , carrier and paulson are all candidates but drafting a blocker should be in the mix

o/line williams is obvious as is scherf and moses , but center and LG are weak spots . i think long has been talked about being moved to c enter but drafting a nick martin is a strong possibility . long kujo and lavaou are in the mix with the dark horse being KUJO nseche is a fine swing tackle for us and compton is versatile . i would draft an o/lineman somewhere in the draft though

somewhere in the mix we need a playmaker , most likely at RB or in the o/line

Pretty much agree but I've cooled on Thompson. For years I've craved a Darren Sproles type, a sutuatuional 3rd down back with the speed and open field moves to make big plays. That's why I loved the pick on draft day. But after patiently waiting for him to learn to play the position, which he has, it's apparent that he does not have the speed to be anything special and like you said we need a play maker.

Henry physically gives visions of the Nigerian Nightmare of this age.

I question his drive though. Okoye was a beast because he had no other option but to be a beast. From what i hear of Henry, he can be a beast, but is subject to taking plays off as well.

He may do well in the NFL but I would be very skeptical. First of all - his size and speed are reminiscent of Trent Richardson who was a total bust. Secondly - he is a bruising kind of runner & that can be problematic in the NFL.

Here is a scouting report on Henry:

  • Alabama_logo.gif Derrick Henry*, RB, Alabama
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 241.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.59.
    Projected Round (2016): 1-3.

1/9/16: In 2015, Henry has averaged 5.7 yards per carry (359 carries) in 2015 for 2,061 yards with 25 touchdowns with 11 receptions for 91 yards. Henry has been a downhill bulldozer who has an underrated burst to get to the second level and break off long runs. He isn't an elusive back, and is a one-cut downhill runner, but he has shown surprising speed to run away from defensive backs when he breaks off long runs.

Not only has Henry's running been impressive this season, but the blitz protection will really excite scouts. His contributions in the passing game will help Henry's draft grade and give NFL teams the evidence that he can be a three-down starter as a pro.

In speaking with sources, some teams see him as a late first-rounder. Others grade him in the second or third round.

They ran Henry 395 times in 15 games or 26.3 carries per game this year. With that type of workload taking plays off would almost be mandatory I'd hazard.

Heard that stat yesterday too. In the NFL when RBs get that many carries their play usually suffers the following year. Don't know the effect on college players, just the thought that popped into my mind when I heard it.

Breed... I havent really put any study into the college class yet what with all the travel and stuff I was doing last year. So Im totally going off of what I hear. But tis the season as it were. Starting in the next few I will be doing my annual web search for film and reviews on the guy at positions of need/debate from around the board.

Closer to draft time I will likely post my thoughts on the top

SS
