yes to fingerprint.. no to blu ray, i was 2 days late for their special and didn't want to pay 100 for it, I have one for my tv anyway...

I have an HP laptop too.. and a sony vaio thats about 4 years old.. but it works just fine for my 13 yo to do her facebook.. and download songs on.. I think that it really just depends on what your going to use it for as to how much you want to spend on one.. the hp that i have was less than a year old and I bought it from a co-worker who said he wanted something that was a little faster for gaming or something like that.. so he sold me his for 200$.. It was still practically brand new.. I looked up to see about how much it woulda cost me to buy the same one new.. and Id have been out about 750 bucks.. I got a good deal for a really nice laptop without shelling out the big bucks for one.. since I only use it to put pics of the kids.. download some tunes .. email and this... its just perfect!:p
