Because you posted one of your experts saying he is a second round prospect and would only go in the first because of weakness at the position.

There are also a ton of sources that say he isn't a first round prospect.

Let me say this... if 20% of the population thinks some one is a 1st rounder, but 80% does not..... usually the 20% opinion is considered a reach. Again dude, you are willing to reach on this guy because you see center as our biggest need. But over drafting a guy because its your biggest need and passing up on guys who are considered better talents is questionable at best.

IMO, Scot said he knew who his pick was at 21, if he was still there...that doesn't feel like a Center, but I guess it could be.

Kiper just said on Sportcenter that he thought Kelly would be one of the biggest steals of the draft in the first round.

Nobody is saying you can't have an opinion but others can disagree with it. The problem with this argument right now is you posted a statement by a guy like it backed up what you think...but it didn't...it backed up what Shark thinks...nearly verbatim.

Im just posted the Kellys stock is on the rise. Why Shark doesn't think he is a 1st round player. Who cares how he is graded if he helps our team win that would mean everything.

Im not a huge fan of BPA. If you have a desperate need at center and he's the best player avail at that position at 21 but "the big board" has a CB, QB and OLB graded higher,,, why pick the CB or the other two because you graded him higher.... they're not a big need. Draft the GD center and move on, or move back if you can and get him at 25. I really don't believe they are drafting a Center with the 1st round pick anyway. I believe it will be a WR or S.

That is the definition of desperation when it comes to the draft and that is exactly why you don't target a position at your draft slot. It means you get an inferior prospect.

Grade is extremely important. If Kelly can help our team but a higher graded prospect can help more, then Kelly is a bad pick.

Grade is not important. You are trying to tell me that draft pundits had a top 5 grade on Scherff last year? Or Scherff had a higher grade than Williams last year? The center class is not that weak in my opinion. There could be 4 centers drafted in the first 3 rounds. We discussed this before. If guy x has a grade of 92 and guy y has a grade of 90, the 92 guy doesn't always get drafted b/c need comes into effect.

draft grade certainly matters and most grade s i saw on sherf were in fact top 10

sorry but if kelley is graded as a 2nd rounder and butler is graded as an mid twenties talent then i take butler over kelley based on the grade and more talented player

I wouldn't be mad if we drafted him because I think he will be a solid player. I will however be VERY disappointed if we pass on better players to draft him at 21 because of need. We NEED several positional players. Everyone talks about this DT class being so deep. So then why the hell don't we take advantage of that and draft a DT in the first and second round?? I wouldn't be mad about that.

And don't get me wrong .... It's all fun to talk about this draft stuff, what ifs, scenarios, etc. I enjoy it, I really do. But I put very little stock into what McShay, Kiper, Mayock, Amy if them say because they don't really know shit. They are talking heads.

People are going apeshit a few years ago whenever passed on Moses with our second rounder. Hell McShay thought he was a first rounder. Our people picked him in the 3rd. And we'll ... A few years later that looked like about the right spot to me.

If SM thinks Kelly is the BPA at 21 then sure, its cool with me. But, to insist he be the pick because he's a center is silly. There are a lot of players that would make our team better and they play a wide range of positions.

Exactly. Every team has holes. Hell, the Broncos had one of the worst OLs I have ever seen.
