No way in hell Crick makes it down to Round 3. He was listed as a mid to late 2nd before the combine, and a lot of people were impressed with how healthy he was there. He's now considered a near lock to be picked by the mid 2nd, with some having him as high as Green Bay in the first round. Possibly he'd be available at the end of the 2nd for you. There is absolutely zero chance he'll be there in the third.

So Smart, besides feeling Crick doesn't make it to the third any other comments opinions?

Crash- I wouldn't mid the first two rounds, but would want a WR in the 3rd like Streeter. But I also know nothing about Jones... And certainly nothing on Brewster. So position wise I think this touches on our needs but I don't see it playing out that way

I'm not sure I know enoough about your team to comment. I don't think you guys will need a TE, so even with the Harbaugh factor, Fleener in the first seems like a stretch. If I could just guess, i'd go:

Round 1: Kevin Zeitler, G, Wisconsin

Round 2: Marvin Jones, WR, Cal

Round 3: Josh Robinson, CB, Central Florida

Round 4: Ronnie Hillman, RB, San Diego State

Round 5: Ryan Broyles, WR, Oklahoma

Again, though, I know very little about the Niners outside of seeing five or so games on TV this year.

Don't like the idea of drafting a #2/3 TE in the 1st round. If Fleener is the clear BPA then look to trade back and pick up extra picks, preferably a future 1st.

1. Stephan Gilmore CB
2. Brian Quick WR
3. Senio Kelemete OG
4. DeVier Posey WR
5. Rhett Ellison TE

trade down with skins for a 2nd and 4th

2 - dwayne allen TE
2 - bentley CB
3 - ben jones C
4 - jonas gray RB
4 - nate potter OT
5 - ryan broyles WR

another possibility is use a 2nd next year to move up for konz then wait and see if allen drops to our 2nd rounder

Fleener at #30 is a luxury pick. Niners have more pressing needs. If Rogers doesn't sign, Niners need to address CB. If the Niners do not sign Morgan or any other FA, then WR has to be addressed in the first two rounds. Without Morga, that leaves the Niners with only Crabtree and Williams at wideouts.

if rogers doesn't sign, we need to find a vet who can at least be a #2. if morgan leaves, we should sign someone that can replace him.

What happens if the Niners fail to sign Morgan? Are you okay at WR with Williams and Crabtree?

Iguana, who do you have in mind as a FA signing at WR? So many have been franchised. Vincent Jackson is going to ask for a lot of money. Garcon will probably be available, but at what cost? I'm interested in Meachem if the Saints do not resign him. Just want to hear your input.

WR should be addressed in free agency. if we draft someone like sanu in he first we're getting yet another #2 type.

i'd like to see us grab colston and lloyd and let morgan walk. actually i'd rather try to trade crabtree and resign morgan and have him be our #3. but i think we'd be in good shape with colston, morgan, crabtree, especially since with allen we'll see more double TE sets.

to add i'd like to keep ginn, but i wouldn't mind seeing us grab eddie royal to replace ginn who i think can beat out crabtree

Sanu had a terrible combine. He's slower than my basset hound. I do hope the Niners sign a WR through FA. With Rogers and Alex Smith not signed, I don't know if the Niners can afford Colston. Someone like Eddie Royal will probably be more feasible. I also like that he can return punts.

FA:

Eddie Royal
Carlos Rogers
Alex Smith

DRAFT:
1.) C Konz
2.) DE Crick
3.) CB Robinson
4.) RB Gray
5.) WR Broyles

One of the things that I like about Eddie Royal, and admittedly I've always been a HUGE fan of his since being drafted, is his agility and ability to YAC. He always seems to be open.

Sig? A lot of the prospects I am high on dropped for character reasons throughout the season. Don't know if it's realistic though... Tannehill, Jenkins, Brewster, and Posey I think are all well deserving of better spots

As much baggage that Jenkins has, I don't see him falling out of the 1st round. He's got too much talent. Some mocks have Tannehill going to the Redskins in the 2nd round if they can't swing that trade with the Rams.

I would be fucking ecstatic if this is how our draft went. I'm a big fan of all of those guys. Robinson I'm still not sure about, but he holds good value at the bottom of the 3rd. I would absolutely love getting Broyles in the 5th. I think people are seriously under estimating him.

Please comment..

not terrible. I don't really like the TE position addressed early as I feel we have the 2nd or 3rd best TE tandem in the league.

I honestly don't know much about Josh Robinson, but I like the dual versatility of his corner/returner capability.

I really like the Crick selection and the Dwight Jones pick in the 3rd and 4th rounds.

I also don't know how good Brewster is, but center is definitely a position of need for us so I would be fine with that selection.
