LMAO!!!..I am trying to figure out how to use this damn list feature!!!...HELP!!! Anyone!!

Lol, IDK. I just saw a random list of what looked like preseason receiving numbers. Thought maybe you were going to post them there to look at later. Cracked me up. It's like saying, "Broncos fans..what Broncos fans?

Bitches!"

Yep, you saw what I was trying to do. I did some pre-season stats for a friend and I thought they were pertinent to the Crabtree convo and wanted to post them.

So I pasted them into the text box, highlighted them and tried on several occasions both the 'Ordered List' and the 'Unordered List' feature.

Both make the list look awesome in the text box but as soon as you hit 'submit reply' the entire list becomes a pile of crap.

So, I keep trying and deleting and trying and deleting. If you were watching all of that you must have thought I lost my mind - which I almost did!

Are you talking about this list?

  • Test 1-2-3
  • Test 1-2-3
  • Test 1-2-3

Yeah that is what I was shooting for. My list wasn't so uniform in format (players names and stats) but as soon as I highlighted it and selected one of the list features it made it look perfect in the text window. However, as soon as I hit "Submit Reply" it all went to hell.

Hmm, if you were trying to use stats I'm guessing you were attempting something with matching columns? I doubt that list feature can do that unless you tediously count out the spaces for each "block" in a column. I think this list feature is more along the lines of bullet points.

I think you're exactly right, Three!

I'll send you the list via PM and you can play with it at your leisure. But put it in the text window, highlight it, then select either of the list features and you will see what I mean by it looking perfect in the window.

Btw, I have to share more love with the others before I can Rep you - but you got one coming! Thanks for your help on this!!

Maybe this is the only way to do it, inserting some symbol to create the gaps, but it looks funky because the letters create a crazy space for each name and turn everything into a House of Mirrors wave.

It took planning just to get to this point too, I took your original list and did a copy/paste job to a Microsoft Word just to have the information readily available and minimized it so that when I clicked on the List function, the pop up didn't block the info. From there I just entered everything, and went back and slowly spaced it out line by line.

Figured I'd post it here to see if anyone else had input or if any of the vets of a board like this knew a better way.

Oh yeah, and as you can see, my choice in gap symbol had a little hiccup when I had to deal with the negative yards.

All it takes is one dedicated fan to get the forum going. The Texas Rangers board wasn't much of anything until I started pimping it at espn. Now we have a few posters who found a new home! And of course I ended up here because somebody else pimped it on the troll board at espn.

Perfect! Now, I just need to learn how you did that! Hahaha

You’d basically just take a screen shot of the web page (ALT + Print Screen) and then paste it in Paint. You can trim away the unnecessary parts/borders and then save, upload to an image hosting like Photobucket and then link that to your post on SportsHoopla. Let me know if any of this doesn’t make sense to you and I can give you a more detailed “how-to-do”

Cheers!
