Illinois st tried to give the game away yesterday and beats Wichita today. crazy. hopefully Loyola wins so Illinois can at least get one team in the tourney this yr

Illinois state is going to take it this year.

Even though they are 0-6 against the top 3 seeds, they did play most of those games relatively close. They actually do match up pretty well with Wichita State. I think they're better than their record indicates.

Good call, guys. If I'm a Bubble Team, Northern Iowa is my favorite team in America. If not, an at-large goes up in smoke.

And I will give Wichita's fans some major credit. They recognize they are in a third-rate city and treat the Shockers like they are a pro team. Spokane does the same thing for Gonzaga. When you have that type of support, you can really build a consistent winner in mid-majors. As long as Gregg Marshall is their coach, and their fans act like that, they will be a very good program. It amazes me that there aren't more teams like that. What the hell else are you gonna be doing in Peoria or Little Rock, Arkansas or Charleston, SC or Boise, ID?

The Shockers actually looked like us today, with their inability to stop the attacking guard and smart, efficient guard play on offense. The difference is that their big men aren't as intelligent or versatile. They had that last year with Cle'Anthony Early, and the lack of it is the reason no one should expect them beyond the Sweet 16.

So stoked. I have much respect for wsu. They are the reason mvc is even on the map at the moment. Them and uni I guess. Beating them was huge. I hope Loyola can pull off an upset because I don't think isu matches up well with uni.

Illinois state lost that game. It sucks that they won't make the tourney this year, but they only have themselves to blame. I honestly believe they would beat U of I if they played. Either way, the redbirds will be better next year. Northern Iowa always seems to be very good in the MVC but bigger conference schools always handle them easily. I doubt they'll buck that trend this year.

Well, they beat Kansas in tourney a few years back and smoked Iowa this year.
