Slayer isn't Slayer anymore... Even their older stuff has taken a backseat in my collection. As far as metal, I've been getting into more proggy/power metal which I hated for the longest time. But melodeath will always be the best.

Bloodline is still a good vid, and they are not as popular as they used to be but it's always in the collection, Araya is still a great lead singer, I haven't heard much int he past 5 years that isn't a ripoff of someone else's shit or just trying to go pop ex. lamb. Mudvayne I've got a thing for chic lead singers and Enemy is one the best, or the best. I find myself going back to the old stuff more than anything recent, Ill hear it from the source rather than someone trying to reproduce whats already been made 10-15 years ago

Yea, Angela Gossow is pretty bangin. Although, I do like AE's older material before her more. As far as bands going mainstream, a lot of melodeath went gay. I cant even listen to In Flames anymore. I still like Soilwork to a degree. Black Dahlia Murder and Darkest Hour are probably the closest american bands to that swedish sound, they're alright. Nothing can top good ol At The Gates though. Lately I have been listening to shit from back in the day... I've been blowing up my Queensryche albums, and just started listening to Symphony X.

Can't wait for Pig Destroyer to release some new material. I love deathgrind. Napalm Death is another favorite.

nice call with at the gates, i forgot about those guys, i found 5 of their albums on the pirate bay and im obtaining them now. I between napalm death, crowbar, and death thats like 30 albums in my itunes, hellyeah
