Friday's my Bday and I'm in AZ for the game (was gonna do all 3, but its hot as fuck and that's a lot of effort in these conditions, so just doing Fri). Back in December I put in for the pool suite for any of the games and didn't get it; the Dbacks ticket rep offered me tickets for the game. I got the tix today, and I'm pretty sure this is where they are

Are they really talking about postponing games cause the heat? From one of the podcasts I listened one of the guys said there is heat warning which may cause issues with the series.

My in laws say it is warmer but when I’ve been down there (never peak summer) doesn’t seem like a sporting event would be an issue. Not sure what it is called now but Chase Field I thought was set up really well at avoiding the heat.

Ya I don't understand them cancelling games there. It is well air conditioned. Now the leagues they run at the spring training locations might get shut down for now. That can get dangerous.

Hadn't heard that; they played a day game here, yesterday, and I think it hit around 118.

I'm golfing the next two mornings.... we'll see if we last 18 in the morning heat.

Yeah no idea if it was really true or the guy was just spitballing.

It would just be ironic though if they were even discussing cancelling a game in Arizona while bending over backwards for the crap stadium they’d end up with in Vegas.

I left there in July of 2016 when it seemed it was 100-19 every day that early summer. Eight years was enough, though we enjoyed it until then. My wife and I would walk the neighborhood at night and it still felt like a hot oven hitting you in the face. Can't imagine it now if it is even hotter.

Hey Jerry, remember when we were suppose to challenge for 1st? This is updated after today's Angels win. We are still 4th...in our division. But there is always a shot at a play-in game...

Fun with numbers.

There are 12 teams with less payroll than us with 6 of them having better records than us. Hmmm maybe it is Jerry?

Also, the three teams ahead of us in our division are all top 10 in payroll. So I blame ownership for being tight asses and Jerry for being incompetent. A perfect marriage between owner and GM.

I think somebody on here the other day asked this, but has anyone seen Hollander? I think he is still our GM.

You are absolutely right, it is hot as hell here right now!

We are going to a game this weekend too, thank god for their roof. One of the worst ball parks in the league, but I live here so it is what it is; spring training parks are way better.

Have fun and hopefully we can take a couple!!

Me a decade ago in the AZ dugout. My wife and I took a tour of the stadium one time. It was a nice tour. Our first visit to Bank One Ballpark (as it was known as back in the day) was probably in early 2000's when we went there for vacation from WA. We sat in the first row in 200 level in the restaurant seeting. I think was TGIF's at the time. It was great. A lot of memories there.
