I have noticed all year that Gamel fouls off a lot of pitches (and not because he is fighting them off they just miss the mark) and they leave his bat at weird angles you normally don't see with other batters. Wonder why that is?
I'll be honest, I didn't expect to turn this game on and see Gallardo still in the game having allowed only one run. This is sadly one of the best starts put together by a Mariners pitcher in the last month.
But in true Servais fashion, he left him in one batter too long. It is almost like this team gets satisfied with mediocrity. It won the first two games so no biggie showing for the sweep. 2 of 3 is all good...
