I'm pretty sure the greatest comeback in baseball history was when the indians came back against the mariners in 2001 where the Indians erased a 12 run deficit in 11 innings. So 5 run lead vanishing for the Mariners isn't much.

Giving up a 5 run lead is indeed "much".

But you're right about that 2001 loss being killer. Stings all the more since that game could've been what got us to 117.

It's not very often that the Mariners can say they are only 2.5 games out of first place AND they are in 3rd place.

Series wins are what counts... Nice to see them pull it out... Nice to see Cano earn his paycheck today... Love what we're seeing from Cishek and Aoki continues to get on base... Aoki is as solid as they come at the leadoff position... We were spoiled with Ichiro as a leadoff hitter all those years we forgot how hard it is to fill that position in the batting order...

That was a great bounce back the last two series. Seager needs to start hitting though. I'm not going to say this team is somehow different but a dismal homestand like we just had usually put the team in a complete tailspin.

Aoki's OBP is at .250 for the year. I'm not going to throw him a parade until his OBP is at least better then Jackson's .312 from last year.

I understand that but he's been on base in 13 of the 15 games this year... Too bad he can't get hit in when he get's on... He's been on in 13 games but only has 5 runs... That's sad... That's what he was brought in to do... He's also only struck out 8x's, meaning he's putting the ball in play, advancing runners, etc... He's more productive than Jackson was...
