If that is the case, we already have that in Sanu, so by logical thinking, we do not need a WR, and we do not need a #2 WR as Hawkins would be the slot then.

For me the difference is that AJ Green is a proven, franchise type player while Sanu only had a couple good games as a rookie.

if they're completely sold on Sanu as a starter I don't think they'll take a WR with the first two picks. so yes I do assume that if they take a WR it's as a future starter and a complement to AJ and Dalton's skillsets.

if they do take Hunter, I won't lose sleep because I think he has a chance to be a really good player, and that he most likely graded as a much better prospect than the other WRs. in the best scenario I still think that a posession WR, the one who'll make the tough catch and move the chains on a 3rd down is the need. it's been the Achilles heel ever since TJ left.

Perhaps you are right, but maybe we can make him just a little bit less of a bum with the right offensive players surrounding him.

Like a Wes Welker type and a competent TE. Not a deep threat. A deep threat is wasted on Dalton.

Having another deep threat doesn't really do much good if Dalton can't get them the ball. Give me Robert Woods, Hopkins, Allen.

I'll be fine if we wind up with him (I still don't think we'll pick a WR in the first 2 rounds), but I still like Woods, Hopkins, and Allen Better.
