Great band and I think really underrated.

I didn't realize until now that all of the founding members are dead.

Father Time seems to be nipping at my heels.

Huge fan

Same with Lynyrd Skynyrd, not counting the new incarnation, just the original. Only Ronnie Van Zant and late comer Steve Gaines died in the plane wreck. The original bass player Larry Junstrom (quit before the first album) and the last drummer Artimus Pyle live on.

Funny, I had just listened to A Question of Balance over the weekend. even though I heard it tons of times, I was still gobsmacked by Question. Masterpiece is the only way to describe it

That run from Days of Future Passed through Seventh Sojourn is spectacular.

As far as a fav… it’ll always be On the Threshold of a Dream.

“There you go man, keep as cool as you can.
Face piles and piles of trials with smiles.
It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave
Keep on thinking free”

Days of Future Passed
In Search of the Lost Cord
On a Threshold of a Dream
To Our Children's Children's Children
A Question of Balance
Every Boy Deserves Favour

These were great albums.........after that, they were not much more than, an easy listening pop band.
I thought when Mike Pinder left the band, it changed the direction of the band.

I saw the Moody Blues live six times.

Yep.
That's their quintessential work....from their heyday.
And I'll add Seventh Sojourn too...which imho was the culmination of their peak yrs.

I saw them live twice.
There will never be another band quite like them again...though a few have come close.
