I recently bought the Blu-ray of The Moody Blues Days of Future Passed Live.
..... the best produced Moody Blue's Concert ever.
It made the TV showing look lame.
They must have had many cameras to video the production.
The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 audio option was spectacular on my surround sound system.
There were two concerts.......normal and The Days of Future Passed 50th Anniversary concert.
just like being there........
If you have a surround sound system, or not, I highly recommend this Blu-ray ($14)
And I would advise to the Moody Blues, they perform more songs from their first 5 albums in future concerts.

MB's are one of my all time favorite bands.

Yeah their 1st 5 or 6 albums are masterpieces.

Are you familiar with their other works/albums/solo efforts?

If not...I highly recommend it.

I became fan of the Moody Blues, because of their first six Masterpiece Albums...
And I would have never been a fan of the Moody Blues, if they were a band who only created the music after that.
To me, most of the post 6 album music, is mediocre pop band music.

The music, of the first 6, was coincidentally created, when Mike Pinder was there.

The Moody Blues are in the R&R HOF because of their first 6....

And I would say the first 6 albums, are as good, as any albums ever, by any artist.
They all had a common theme....a mix of rock, symphonic, and moog synthesizer.... brilliant cover concept....and totally unique......just like Sgt. Pepper.

And the first 6 albums, took a chance, and were not meant to be top 40 material.

I like that.

I first heard of them in 1970 when I was 15, and the older sister of my girlfriend at the time played the In Search of the Lost Chord album (Ride My See Saw & Legend of a Mind).
Been a fan ever since...and have seen them a handful of times...most recently a few yrs ago.

I have always been a Moody Blues fan. They should have been in the Rock HOF 20 years ago.
