I'm not a big fan of Elam. He's a big hitter, but not good in coverage down the field.

From everything I've read Elam is good in coverage. Better than Reid.

Goodberry watched 3 games. Said he was solid in underneath coverage, but not if he had to cover downfield.

He is probably the best coverage S in the draft IMO.

I didn't really see it in the one game I watched. I haven't watched other safeties though, so I can't make a fair comparison.

If we are drafting a S, I don't really see any better than him in coverage unless you want to roll teh dice with Amerson.

Maybe not. Like I said, I haven't watched any tape on the safeties yet. I watched a little on CBs. I really liked Jordan Poyer from Oregon St. We have other needs, but he'll be a good one IMO

I think he is a 2nd or 3rd round prospect. I'd be fine with a CB then. We could use another CB still. Newman and Clements are getting old. Pacman isn't young anymore either. Kirkpatrick hasn't played a meaningful down yet, and we don't really have any other good CB's.

I'm thinking 2nd round for Poyer, depending on how Amerson shows at the combine and Pro Day.

I've read a lot of good stuff about him. I hope that article is right and they get a guy who can push Dalton. The article talks about Glennon but it looks like he might jump to a top 15 pick. I also like Manuels athleticism a lot. He was really accurate as a senior too.

I still think Manuel is too much of a project and goes very late.

Manuel won't drop past the 4th round IMO. He had too good of a senior year. He is too athletic and too accurate to drop that far. CBS sports has him gong in the 3rd round. Walterfootball has him as a 3rd-4th rounder. NFL.com has him as the 3rd best QB. Drafttek has him as an early 4th rounder.
