FantasyPros gave it a A-. I give it a B-, because I'm not a fan of my RBs. 2 starters with 2 backups. Need better depth there because I can't guarantee that Freeman is anything more than a backup right now. Lots of hype though. Feel good about the rest of the team though.
QB - Goff, Roethlisberger
RB - Mixon, Carson, Ingram, RJ2, Hill (cuff),
WR - Adams, Cooks, Watkins, Fitzgerald, Stills
TE - Henry
DST - JAX
K - Elliot
Got stuck in a very weird value spot with ADP on my 14th pick, 158th overall... I wanted a WR, but all the ADPs for BPA were about 30-40 draft positions too soon. Ugly but I needed another WR and didn't want a backup TE. WR BPA was Stills & Goodwin. Went with Stills.
FantasyPros gave it a B. Didn't feel great about this draft, but the starting core is strong.
QB - Rodgers, Brady
RB - Cook, Fournette, Ekeler, Singletary, J-Jackson (cuff)
WR - Hopkins, Cooks, Jeffery, Samuel, Shepard, Crowder
TE - Hooper
DST - BAL
K - Tucker
Right off the bat it wanted me to take Chubb at 7th overall. Wasn't a fan. Went WR instead and was still able to grab Cook & Fournette back to back. Loved that.
Not sure why Cooks always seems available & highly recommended to me in the 4th Rd no matter where I draft from.
Wanted to draft Duke Johnson in the 5th, but his ADP was reaching so I went with Rodgers... Dumb move as Duke was grabbed before the next pick. Reasons why I mock... Don't get caught up with ADPs! You see a position you need and starter, grab him. Because now I'm left with Murray, White & Drake as BPA for RB. Yuck. Went WR instead. Ekeler & J-Jackson picks were taking a 50-50 shot on a starter in the event Gordon holds out was worth it. Chances are whomever I picked over either of those guys would end up on waivers anyways.
Broke the cardinal rule of not taking a DST & kicker with the same bye week, let alone the same team. lol
FantasyPros gave it a A-. Feel pretty good about this draft.
QB - Wilson, Brees
RB - Barkley, Fournette, D Johnson, Singletary, Armstead (cuff)
WR - Allen, Diggs, Jeffery, M Jones, Sanu
TE - McDonald, Walker
DST - JAX
K - Maher
It wanted me to take Aaron Jones for my 2nd pick. Not huge on him but would have been solid. Went Fournette instead, and glad i didn't go WR because I would have gone with Allen (who came back around to me anyways).
Reached for Johnson for my 5th. Wanted to take P Lindsay but his RBBC is scaring me away. And Tevin Coleman is on shaky ground.
Didn't care for the Brees pick but he presented the best value at the time. None of the RBs or WRs were jumping out at me.
2 TEs because both or injury risks.
FantasyPros gave this a B+. Going to be a rollercoaster for picking WRs week to week. But great group. Got possibly 3 workhorses in the RB group, mixed with 1 flier & 1 cuff. As good a strategy as any.
