JMO... but if sanders goes to the steelers... i would bet a fair amount that the steelers move up to get him... not sure where or with whom... but i highly doubt they will draft him with the 21... i am still expecting Sanders to be a top 10 pick...

I think he's bombed enough interviews and turned off enough GM's, that he'll be lucky to be the second QB drafted, at all..let alone in the top ten. IF the Browns and Gmen pass on him..he's falling, and falling far.

Personally i think the Gmen or Browns trade back into the first round..18-25 ish, and select him - but this was a 'no trades' mock so, I went with the Steelers..as more and more others are also doing

I mean, we're beginning to see 'experts', 'insiders', former GM's- whatever-, whose mock drafts have Dart going ahead of Shaduer.
I'd say that's likely a big stretch..but I get it

This is just me. But that is my draft day taboo. If you want a qb you should always pay up for one. When you pay down, you are playing with the players confidence. And qb is as much to do with confidence as it does talent. Don’t play games. If you like a qb take him the first opportunity to take him. Don’t tell him we’ll, we liked you but you are not worth this!!

So if the giants or browns do what you are saying I will say it is a terrible move. No matter what. Even if it looks good.

That is also why I think someone is going to bite on sanders. Not because of him. But because of the position and risk in taking him.

As i read that i immediately thought of Aaron Rodgers dropping on draft day. He played with a chip on his shoulder.

At least until his ego and age took over.

the only recent example of a team passing on a guy, and then trading back into the first to select a QB would be Baltimore and Lamar, taking Hayden Hurst with their normal pick and Lamar at 31.
I think that worked out quite well for both parties.

I honestly cannot think of one single example other than this in the past 10-20 years- or longer

2003, Bears took DE Michael Haynes 14th, then Rex Grossman 22nd.
It worked out well for a while until Rex got happy feet. (Helped get us to a Super Bowl.)

did the packers trade down or have another pick used before drafting Rodgers??

and rodgers is a different example, because he sat and learned... that is very rare now... and not really in the cards for anyone who has been linked to Sanders so far this off-season...

I lot of players get drafted later then they thought they should. The good ones use that to motivate them self to be better.
