We should actually start looking back on past drafts and tweaking them into something even better. I remember quite a few times where we have discussed doing a draft again in the future and making some changes, but don't recall us ever actually doing that.

Dies anyone remember how we did the last AL only and NL only drafts? Was it 2 separate drafts or all in one?

You guys remember the one I am talking about? Where we each get a full team who played more games in the AL and a full team who played more games in the NL and had playoffs and a WS. That was a while back. I remember it being fun.

I remember it well and yes you are correct it was two different drafts.

Maybe we should put them all together this time?

:noidea:

We could still have two separate teams but do both teams all in the same draft, that would be different....

You mean 1 draft, 48 rounds, 10 teams (or 8 or 12 or whatever) or 1 draft, 24 rounds, 20 teams (or 16 or 24)?

If everyone has 2 teams, it would be 24 rounds.

Can you explain how we each draft 48 players and it's only 24 rounds??? We don't each draft 2 players per turn...

We have 2 teams that pick per round. One picks an AL player, the other an NL player. We end up with 24 each.

We just did a similar draft where we had femurov 1 and femurov 2 and so on. That’s what I was asking in my original question about 10 teams or 20 teams

So like Femur 1 and Femur 2. We just would have to make the draft order fair though if we did it that way...

You Get Two Teams MLB Draft : FULL DRAFT

So it would stll be an AL-NL draft but just combine it into one draft? Free for all or stipulations?
This is pretty much what I have been asking the whole time.

Like, let's say we have 10 owners. We could do 48 rounds and go 1-10 where at the end of the draft, you split into two equal teams where 1 team has played most of their careers in the AL and the other team is all NL players.

Or we could do 24 rounds and go 1-20 where each owner has 2 picks per round (Nos 1/Nos 2, Ritz 1/Ritz 2, etc) and you have to pick an AL player and an NL player in every round (barring trades).

Personally, I would prefer to do 48 rounds with 1 pick per round and no restrictions on when you have to draft your AL or NL players. As far as other stipulations go... how about we get a set number of HOFers (15?)? Or maybe something where we can get a couple of Wild Cards somehow.

How about we draft one player from each franchise, then in round 31, we pick a player from every decade 1880-2010, that gets us to 44, then you get 4 WC's to bring it to 48

Tommy Likey! How about there's no set way you have to draft, you can select a 1890's player with your first pick then second pick you can select someone who played for the Cubs then someone from the 1940's and so on?

Also, once you pick a player whatever you use him for you can't change him, EX... You draft Mike Schmidt for the 1970's later you wanna switch him to the player for the Phillies, NEIN! You cannot!
