And yes, I am implying that minnesota is not a game. It is a tune up scrimmage.

Really??? I completely disagree...

It was 7-3 with 4 minutes left, they were moving the ball really well and he got a first and goal on the play he got hurt on from approx the 7....

They likely go up 10-7....

I have no doubt in my mind that had robinson not got hurt it would have been a much different game, not saying we couldn't have outscored them, but I doubt we hold them to less than 24.

Just as likely, Robinson throws a pick in the endzone as he has done in the past.

I would say probably we drop the pick, but the db's wore their catching gloves last night.....

I saw an interview on The Final Drive on BTN this morning....

I think it was Fisher who said last week if they dropped a pick in practice they had to do push-ups, where the rest of the season all they would do is move on to the next play if they dropped an INT in practice.

A lot of this is what some of us thought. That fundamentals weren't being stressed like the X's and O's.

All it really came down to was Bo felt like the kid was going to shit his pants coming into that situation with no previous comparable experience......so he let the dogs out.

See OU and Lingerie Jones in 2009.....

Basically, Bo doesn't have enough confidence in his guys yet......that's what I take away from it.

Robinson stay's in the game. I think the final score would be different. Main reason: Time of Possession. NU's D was on the field for the majority of the time when Denard was playing. I would tend to think we would get wore down and tired at some point, and make a couple mistakes. Denard has proven just as Taylor has, when given time to pass in the pocket he will make the passes.

Possession Time MU | NU
31:36 | 28:24
1st Quarter 10:24 | 4:36
2nd Quarter 10:21 | 4:39
3rd Quarter 7:18 | 7:42
4th Quarter 3:33 | 11:27

Nebraska's D was spending to much time on the field to remain successful the entire night, if the time of possession didn't turn around at some point.

It matters NOT now... But agree with RA, we need to start pinning our ears back some more against this type of QB. Stop all the patty cake business up front.

I just about threw up on the play when Robinson had like 15 seconds to throw the football and Ankrah was locked up with his man about 2 feet away not even trying to get off his block.

I mean really though our Offense was going 3-and-out often at the start.......and we weren't wasting any time doing it either....

Michigan was taking 6-8 plays as opposed to our 3 plays to eventually punt.

And when we scored the TD we didn't waste any time either.

That's right JJM. I kept saying we need to take more time off the clock and let the D rest up a bit.

I also think Tim doesn't pay attention to defensive ranking en sech. He think we will impose our will on the opposition. :L

Tim playing into the strength of their defense :L

Yeah, but you don't understand. He was supposed to stay locked up like that because it's "containing" Robinson. :L

So did Robinson convert the play?

Bo sure wasn't too happy with Ankrah when he came off the field there though....

And Ankrah looked at Bo like "I thought that's what you wanted me to do...."

Meaningless last night. At one point they showed a plays/yards chart. Michigan had 30+ plays to Nebraska's 18. Nebraska had more yards at that point. More efficient offense. Oregon regularly loses the TOP battle.

Don't go getting silly now Tom......TOP deficiency in the first half wasn't because we were too efficient on offense......we were up 7-6......

yes, TOP can be skewed if your offense is clicking like a well oiled machine, but that wasn't the case in the first half and for those pointing that fact out are correct in being concerned about that.....
