Not second guessing ya but I wonder if this would have turned out the same had you kept Feller.

Probably not but I knew that when I made the deal. Chose the fun factor of having Manny/Papi over how voters would look at it...I like my team better this way win or lose. Was also hoping you might trade me Nolan Ryan lol

All fair points. And lack of SP was def the reason I went early on multi inning RP. Quisenberry had something stupid like 35+ multi inning saves fir a few years. The bullpen is def built for long stretches. The Feller trade prob hurt me but I couldn't resist pairing Manny with Papi.

Yeah I agree the trade did hurt you, still love Manny and Papi combo

To me it shouldn't make that much of a difference. In real life if I'm the GM I still make that deal as I'll take Manny's production everyday over the course of a season or a series vs the advantage of having Feller over whoever the next SP I took once every 5 games. But Morris as a #1 is not ideal in these I get it.

The other thing about that is I would have had Kirby Puckett as my #3 hitter. I lovvvve me some Kirby but couldn't get comfortable with him in that spot here. Love him at 5

Yeah traded Mantle for Feller/Kirby/Mattingly then Feller for Manny
