Two very good teams but I gotta lean Hockey, I see this as the closet QF game.

Don't know how I drew UK!!!

But I think this is the best I've done in baseball to get balance in all ways. Power, average, left/right, speed at the bottom to turn lineup over. Depth at pitching, a bullpen and bench that is versatile and INSANE defense up the middle and in my outfield. Balls better leave the yard.

I got me. But uK always has good teams.

That's twice you said you didn't like my rotation. I'm betting if you totalled those 5 and averaged out their ERA, ERA+, and win %, you'd have a hard time topping it with any other 5 in the whole draft. Just a guess, but I'd bet a coke on it

I love your top 2... Santana and Feller...

But Verlander?? he is a 5 at best in this mock... He only had 2 seasons of below 3 ERA....

Joss and smoky wood, are 2 pitchers who pitched way back when and ONLY had 300+ innings 3 times combined... Those innings just sucked for pitchers back then... you took old time pitchers with tiny samples and calling them great...

Wood, had over 200 innings only twice in his career...

With your 3-4-5, i think you combined for 5 Great seasons... that is other 3-4-5s primes in this mock...

Maybe not a 5... That is me being sour milk... But he sure is not a 3 for these mocks... He really is extremely over-rated...

then you rank him highly... Again... he only had 2 seasons of better than 3.00 ERA... Now, ERA is not the first stat i look at, but only 2 is pretty surprising... His next best ERA was 3.37... just nothing spectacular... If he did not have that MVP season he would not be considered elite, even in current baseball...

How does Hockey do it draft after draft where he gets skipped and loses a lot of draft positions but still manages to create a competitive team. That alone is a serious accomplishment. Just scary of what his team would be like if he didn't get skipped. We all would be in a world of hurt. Nicely done @mr.hockey4242 :suds:

Ps. I voted UK and hockey got skipped often and is leading 5-3 wow.

If I can jump in just for a moment, if you look at Verlander in big games he has been a huge disappointment, it isn't opinion that he's been less than steller when it mattered, unless of course he's pitching to the A's lineup. I'm saddened to say but i'm with Milk on this one, he's overrated...
