Can't believe no one took JJ Putz!
He had some ridiculously good years in Seattle (78 innings 104 ks 2.30 era, 71 innings 82 ks 1.38 era) and has been pretty reliable in Chicago and Arizona (2.83, 2.17, 2.82, 2.36 era)
I had K Rod over my homer pick Holland so couldn't, but Smitty on the other hand couldn't control his homer picking skills...sure Putz could top any Tiger reliever, lol.
Josh Beckett (2 WS rings 2 different teams maybe soon 3) and Mark Prior (he was my sleeper injury pick by the way) were both not taken suprisingly...unless I really missed them.

Only the second time in my life I've been able to draft Donnie Boy. 12 team AL only Roto a couple years ago he wasn't even a reach. Guys who were semi-retired got drafted. But yeah, just couldn't help myself this time around.
Really wanted to deal a pitcher so I could grab Prior. Guy was ridiculous.
When I made my draft board, I expected people to downgrade him due to his injuries, so I had him around #15, and since I drafted SP so quickly I was full before he hit the top of the board. Not to mention that I wanted at least 1 lefty
I had Mark Prior, Matt Harvey, and Josh Johnson as my sleeper starting pitchers, but decided to go with Barry Zito who had a healthier and more reliable career
And I think no one took Beckett, because while he was a great post season pitcher he never really put together great regular seasons
well, we are playing a 3 game playoff, sounds like post season to me....I would take Beckett over Verlander for clutch games.

Thought for sure Smitty was going to get Inge and Rayburn for the bench spots after that Kelley pick.
