I'm amazed Crash hasn't jumped all over this already. Dalton throws the ball 72 yards in the air and hits Green in stride in Camp today. Reedy blogged about it. Can post the link later if wanted.

He also saved a man from choking and hit a game winning homerun.

Or maybe that was Todd Frazier?

If he threw a screen pass that Green took for 72 yards, the hobspin folks would be all over it talking about how strong Dalton's pass was.

although, I'm not saying his arm strength is the huge issue people make it to be.

Arm strength with regards to the "bomb" or long pass can be worked on with better recogniztion and timing to help off-set those issues. Where you need the speed/strength more than anywhere else is the short to medium patters when the timing route depends on the ball being there exactly on time, and with enough to keep it from "floating"...like on Palmer's out-routes. That is, to me, where you really need the arm strength; when you have to riffle a ball into a very small window. So far, Dalton has done a decent enough job here.

With more time and practice, he and AJ will get more long passes connected.

I'm unconcerned with Dalton's arm strength. It is more than good enough.

What the hell??

I was one of the people saying how his arm strength was below average, just that from articles he had worked on his upper body strength this off season. Yet to determine how much he actually gained. Could have been a 25 MPH wind behind him too. I want to see his arm and his deep accuracy for myself when preseason hits before I praise him too much on arm strength, but I am causiously optimistic he has improved it due to his extra work in th e offseason for that specific area.

Either way, I am not concerned about Dalton, as I think he is a good QB without having to throw 72 yard lasers and hitting people in stride. We should have a much improved statistical offense with him and Green in their second year and Benson not baby stepping to the line on 3 and 1.
