Giants have thrown no-hitters in four straight seasons:
Cain-2012
Timmy- 2013 & 2014
Heston- today

Heston pitched a decent game but it makes you wonder what might have been if the home plate umpire didn't completely forget he was a professional when he gave Heston a few major gift strikes in the bottom of the ninth.

Nope. I don't wonder at all.

One thing's for damn sure. When the ump is calling everything strikes in the ninth and you're on the cusp of being no-hit, staring at pitches will not get you out of the situation.

I'm going to have to say that was the lamest no-hitter ever.

'Decent' game? 11 Ks, no walks (ok a few HBPs). Whatever...

I dunno, Lincecum's first nono (who did he beat that day? can't recall) where it took like 142 pitches and he walked 6 or something? That's a lame no hitter.

It was probably a good thing for the Mets. It's embarrassing and almost forces them to address the need for a bat.

Also, not to take anything away from Heston but the umpire is notorious for having a huge strike zone. With that said, hey Mets, you know the guy is calling anything that doesn't hit the backstop a strike, swing the fucking bat!
