Technically it was his parents who got him the Ferrari, but I'm guessing he gave them the money to buy it for him.

Thank you all for your sentiments and remarks.

After three weeks in the hospital - my mom's last words - after being told she was being moved from life support and to palliative care was to pull the medical stuff off her arm and out of her nose and saying: "I'm getting out of here - one way or another."

If you google - "The girl with the star-spangled heart" WWII recruiting poster - you will see a recruiting poster she modeled for as one of her first assignments after training camp. She requested out of the recruiting post - because she wanted to free a soldier up for the fight - which is the reason she joined the WAACS. She was quite a story.
