Part of me wants to be happy for this guy and look at the upside of this story. Turbin didn't owe him anything and that's a hell of a gift. Not in monetary value, but to have the entire team sign it had to take some free time to make happen.

However, the other part of me still wants to call this guy a douche nozzle for pushing for something in return for letting his GF just take a picture wearing his coat. It's like the fans in baseball parks holding out on giving key home run balls or bats that fly into the stands for exchange for something first. Kind of some entitlement BS really. Just let the woman use your coat and maybe take a selfie next to her to have a nice story from your trip.

No, this guy had to get her to give him her personal phone number just for using his coat for a second. :L

View it either way or both. Turbin still did a hell of a nice thing.

Yeah, i've heard nothing but great things about Turbin as a person... What a great gesture and a great way for Turbin to show appreciation for his fan's... This kind of gift is priceless... I would give anything to have something like that for my office... But the way he got it, makes it even more special...

A buddy of mine bought me an autographed Russell Wilson helmet that came in it's own glass case. He got it during Russell's rookie season so it probably has shot up considerably in value now. It looks really cool next to the big screen and my Seahawk shrine.

Lucky guy, I went to the game in KC and didn't meet anyone important. But it was still a hell of a good time...except for the 20 degree temp and the loss of course!!

Merry Christmas Hoopsters!!!

Wow... What a cool thing for Rob to do.... Actually his girlfriend must be a cool girl for sure... Dude put that helmet in a class case, and put it out of reach... That helmet will be worth a FORTUNE some day...

The bat belongs to the player so the fan has to give it back (they'll usually just give the fan another one) but if you catch a ball it's your property. It never belonged to the player. Why give it away? To be a nice guy? Most of the players completely blow off fans of all ages when they're asked for autographs.

I'm not going to argue the merits of possession of baseballs when the point was the woman wanted to wear his jacket for a second to take a picture and he asks for compensation. I just kind of cringed when I heard that part of it. Understandable if not everyone else agrees. We live in an entitlement culture.

Watched the video a couple times and yeah, what an awesome thing for Turbin and hid GF to do for a complete stranger.

I also feel a little weird thing while watching that though, and, while I'm not yet a parent, I feel like when you are, you need to translate the moments like these onto your kids rather than pushing them away like this guy seems to do. I get that an NFL player/team sent you something amazing, but you have a young son. Shouldn't his experience be the top priority regardless of his age, once he's in your life? It's no longer about you. The real magic happens when you introduce your kid to the Seahawks and what one of their players did for you and your family. That kind of thing can have an impact longer than your excitement for a helmet would.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Otherwise, Merry Christmas guys! Hope you all have a great time with your family and friends.

I hope all my 12's are having a great Christmas. Opening gifts this morning rocked. Just took care of washing/rinsing the turkey. The women folk then pushed me aside to take over. About time a beer!
