Redskins don't need to be big players in FA, but I do look for them to bring on a big name on the defensive side of the ball in the next few days. Pref in the backfield. Jenkins was to rich but look for them to find something with big upside on the cheap. I see a defensive heavy draft and certainly no QB as most on here believe. Skins are well on there way to being relevant again.

The money is crazy this year. Teams are paying big bucks for guys over 30. Look at the Dolphins they are losing young talent and add older talent and paying dearly for it. I couldn't believe Mack go 9 mil. I will admit that I was wrong on that one. Im glad we are not players in FA right now. The prices are way too high. Does anyone know how much FOrte got?

Just be happy that at the current time this is just the feelings of certain fans. None of us influence these decisions (not now anyhow) so it really doesn't matter at all. In the relatively recent past the Redskins FO thought along the same lines & the end result - as we know - was a disaster.

Hopefully this results in a very good team for the foreseeable future and perhaps teams like the Giants will the new version of the early 2000s Redskins. HTTR

Amen! Like I have always maintained most of us share the common bond of being Redskins fans. We should basically be in this together. Sure we have different ideas & all of us are wrong at some pt. However - we all want the same thing - a good team & ultimately a SB championship. Perhaps all of us can tone it down a bit (I know that I am guilty at times).

I agree it is a good deal for Forte, don't get me wrong. I think that is a good deal even if it weren't a crazy FA period. It just goes against a very basic belief of mine, actually a couple of them. One is RBs are a dime a dozen and shouldn't take hardly any cap space. The real problem I have with a Forte signing is his age and wear.

I am a huge Forte fan and wouldn't be upset at signing him at four million per season...I just wouldn't do it.
