I'm pretty happy with the effort of this AHL / CHL squad.
Eddie Lack was pretty impressive in his 40min.
also, Jokinen is a ****.

Talk about a mismatch in experience...

Calgary's Big Line or Big 3 or Big Disappointment, whatever folks wind up calling them, just those three have 2,644 NHL games between them _ that's 631 more than the entire roster the Canucks iced in Calgary last night.

In all the Flames iced a roster that has 5,997 NHL games combined to the Canucks' 2,013.

My guess is if you look at the line-ups for the other split squad game in Vancouver the results would be fairly similiar except with Vancouver having the more experienced lineup. Makes sense I guess to let the hometeam see more of their stars.

It was a more experienced team in Vancouver, but no Sedins, no Bobby Lou, no Kesler, and no Mason Raymond. I guess they don't care as much about their fans like the Flames do in Calgary.

The Canucks line up at home last night was just as inexperienced, no top 6 players

no Sedins, no Hamhuis, no luongo, No kesler, no raymond, no Sammy

Ha! That could be it. Or I guess they just wanted to get a look at more prospects in an NHL game and give them some experience before sending them back to their more permanent residence. I was glad to see Steve Anthony (thanks for finally helping me figure out where I had heard that name before) see some action before being sent down just in time to join his junior team for a big game Friday.

I'm glad to see that, I'm hoping for a royal ass-kicking to be delivered by the Vancouver lads tonight.
