4.52 seems slow for Gordon. It seems like all he did at Wisconsin was run away from people.
That's a fast time for combine. Will probably run closer to 4.4 at his pro day

If I am a prospective team looking to draft Gordon, I really would need to see him run very low 4.4. Speed is a major part of Gordon's game and if it doesn't translate to the NFL, I am not sure I would look to take him in round 1 or 2.

That said, I think the kid is dynamite and probably had an off day running the 40yrd at the combine.

I agree with fordman. This team does not need to reach for a RB in the first round. Gordon is another Wisconsin "system" RB that is getting a lot of pre-draft hype right now. Premiums should be placed on the CB and DT situations now in the 1st round (preferably CB). But this could change after FA obviously and what happens with Carr. I simply don't trust RBs in the 1st round and there are a lot of factors to consider such as the college team's offensive style, strength of schedule, strength of their OL, QB skills on the team he is playing for, etc., to even establish any real feel for their NFL potential. If Gurley falls to the late 2nd round, which is a realistic possibility imo (refused to let team doctors examine his knee at the combine and will skip his pro day with no workout planned before the draft), as teams do not know if he will be the same player again and may want to avoid him in the first two rounds. Then you have to take a shot there if Murray walks simply because he was the best RB in this draft before the injury. Love Gurley's pass catching ability as well, and AP has proved that you can return from a similar injury.

Gurley is a beast...if his knee checks out. If the Cowboys Dr's approved, I'd be all for taking that kid
