MBBRL Suicide League Draft Thread

I check in on the sleeper thread.... I must say that I'm kind of surprised that a certain player has not been selected yet. I'd throw out a couple of player names that I think still hold some relevant fantasy value, but I don't want to ruin it for someone else...

TKO, did you stay up to watch? Game 1 wore me out.

Watched the whole thing, Joe! Still can't believe the Hawks 3rd goal to tie it...

as the game went on, the Bruins' slowness was way too transparent, I usually love watching Jagr handle the puck, kind of Joe Thornton-esque slowing the game down, but the Hawks seemed to attack him quickly when he had the puck, and Jagr had no counter...

as much as I can say, we should have won that one, I can say just as surely, the Hawks were quicker and out-played us for most of the 3rd and most of the OT.

...tough one to lose

Jagr is an unbelievable player, especially for his age. I really have nothing against any of the Bruins players. Even Jagr. But it would be a thorn in my side if Jagr gets another Cup against the Hawks. I still have nightmares about Game 1 from 1991 (Hawks vs Pens). Hawks I believe were up 2 goals and the Pens, led by Lemiuex and Jagr rallied to win 5-3. (I think.)

We had a great Hawks team in 91. Belfour, Hasek, Chelios, Larmer, Roenick, Doug Wilson. Losing to the Pens in four straight was brutal. Then like the Beatles, they split them all up. Tragic.

Willis is a FA... good news for my Hillman pick, and maybe better news for Monkey's, Ball pick ... (not that we didn't see it coming) ... I wonder where he lands? if he lands?

Debated pretty heavily between Malcolm and Vincent. I really think SD passes a ton this year, whether by design or by necessity. Could be disasterous if Rivers is as turnover prone as he was last year.

Saints WR Joe Morgan. Henderson is gone, and Brees/Payton are reunited. I smell retribution brewing in the bayou! I could see Payton dialing up the passing attack even more than usually, even when winning, just to make a statement to Goodell this year. Also, I don't see the worst defense in NFL history getting dramatically better, so they may HAVE to keep passing at a rediculous pace.
