Week 4 Write up-
Milk Vs Fuzzy- epic battle between 2 winless teams... The results were a fitting TIE... The assumption was that one team would go into week 5 with a win, and both Milk and Fuzzy really made an ass out of you and me... Milk was leading the whole week, but fuzzy on the last day came back to tie it... All categories were nail biters except for ERA where Fuzzy just had a terrible week thanks to Joe Kelly and Alex Wood...
TLance vs obxyankee- obYankee wins 7-3 But that is thanks to Tlance failing to hit the minimum pitching... With Chris sale only going 3 innings, losing Tanaka and having NO starter go over 6 innings OR have 2 starts, it is very Difficult to reach the innings minimum... Not to mention starting 3 RP... Without the minimum innings requirement TLance would have won 5-4-1... Obxyankee gets lucky since he really did not have a great week at all...
TKO Vs Ram- TKO wins 6-4. TKOs offense fit his name... They were a total Knockout... Yes I changed technical to Total, deal with it!!!... With 3 players to hit 3 HRs, and with Josh Riddick getting 12 RBIs, that was just nasty... Ram had 8 SB which was really his only positive offensive statistic... But Ram's pitching was great, and that was where he kept the battle close...
Chef vs Sam- Chef wins 7-3. this battle was closer than it looked with 5 categories being very close... But Chef also won 3 categories that were not close at all... Sam had a bad pitching week with a 5.40 ERA, with Jimmy nelson and Craig Kimbrel being most responsible...
Treff Vs Micro- Treff wins 5-3-2. Losing by 2 and seeing 2 ties that could have been wins is very difficult for Micro... Interesting Battle where Treff had a .290 ERA vs Micro 4.17 but yet Micro had the better WHIP...
Treff had an Impressive 16 SBs thanks to 5 from Both Ellsbury and Springer... and with Dee Gordon there too, this is a scary SB team...
Smitty vs BigD- Smitty wins 6-4. Pitching is half the game, and that is what happened here... Smitty had the Best pitching of the week with 6 wins 66 Ks a 1.84 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP... a total sweep in all pitching categories... But his offense just could not come through in making this a domination... a .294 OBP is just not going to do it, and it will kill the runs production...
Sonny Gray was Smitty's MVP this week with 2-0 Record 16 Ks a 1.23 ERA and 1.09 WHIP...
