Weekly Recap-

Paul 8.5, Treff 1.5- Paul's pitchers were terrific as he earned the sweep in those 5 cats. Hitting was very close, but again, Paul's balanced attack was good enough to edge out Treff's squad and Nolan Arenado. The big win puts our defending champ within striking distance of the playoffs, just 4.5 games back.

TKO 8, Ram 2- TKO had a great pitching week and the offense was led by a scorching hot David Ortiz. TKO rides the big win to 7th place, just half a game behind 6th place Sam. Ram meanwhile, falls further off the pace, but remains in 10th.

Big D 7.5, Chef 2.5- Big D had an amazing week all the way around. His hitting was off the charts while earning a sweep there. Both teams pitched extremely well. Big D moves up to 4th, while Chef falls further behind in the race for the playoffs.

Tlance 6, Dub 4- There was not a single category that was close in this one. Tlance dominated the hitting, while Dub took home all the pitching cats but saves. The two teams remain in first and last respectively.

Sam 6, Kevin 4- Sam's pitching was awesome, but somehow Kevin managed to get more wins with 30 fewer innings pitched. Kevin won most of the categories that were close in this one. Sam is currently clinging to 6th place while Kevin tries to work his way out of a deep hole.

Fuzzy 6, Jim 4- Jim's pitching staff was not as dominant as normal, thanks to implosions from Strasburg and Despaigne. Both offenses were solid, but fuzzy managed to 3 of the 5 points available on both sides. Fuzzy narrows the gap between he and Jim, but still remains 7 games back, and Jim is another 7 behind Tlance.

Weekly Recap

OBX 8.5, AZ Sting 1.5- AZ got stung by an outstanding week from OBX, who managed to take every category but SBs and wins. OBX moves into 6th place with a nice 3 game cushion over 7th place Molsan.

Milk 7, Brock 3- What in the world got into Milk's hitters this week? Usually when the pitching staff struggles, it is bad news, but this week he managed a rare hitting sweep. Milk moves up into a tie for 2nd, while Brock falls back to a tie for 9th.

Trudem 6.5, Foot 3.5- Foot is too busy asking questions about tight ends (yes, we are talking about football) to set his line-up. Trudem took full advantage with a great pitching week and moves up into a tie for 9th.

Driaz 6, Molsan 4- This one was very close across the boards. The bats for Driaz were scorching hot, but Molsan managed to wrest away 3 pitching cats by virtue of heavy volume. Driaz is now in a tie for 2nd, but he and Milk are just 2 games back. The loss sets Molsan back to 7th, just 3 games out of the final playoff spot.

Redseat 5.5, Smitty 4.5- The pitching in this one was absolutely ridiculous. Redseat had an ERA of 1.83 and a WHIP of .92, yet managed just half a point in the 5 pitching cats. Lucky for him, he was able to sweep the hitting side. Redseat is trying to get back in contention as Smitty remains comfortably in 5th.

Micro 5.5, JD 4.5- This game was just what one would expect from these two squads. JD's hitting was dominant, but Micro managed to earn half a point with a tie in SBs. On the other side, Micro completed the pitching sweep with his filthy collection of arms. These two teams look destined for the playoffs as they sit in 1st and 4th respectively.

Cargo just ran into the RF wall, and it looked really pathetic. He came up limping but stayed in the game. A fly ball down the RF line, Cargo is getting there, takes a peek for the wall, slows down, puts his bare hand out to try and "catch" the ball (I think his glove could have got there), dropped it, then awkwardly ran into the wall (almost purposely like), but smashed into it like my drunk uncle walking into the patio screen door! Tie game in the 6th, Cargo would rather be on the DL.... don't be surprised if he sits tomorrow, then next Tuesday, then...

Nope................but he sure made Fuzzy's guy look really comfortable at the plate! I think I could have hit that hanger to at least short. BTY, check out my "Evil" pitching stats...............I have 3 SP's with exactly the same line except Sheilds has one less strikeout................and of course, no wins. Now I know how Jeff Samalkjalksda felt in Chitown.....................last 2 weeks have been brutal for my win totals.

Was at Wrigley the last two nights with my daughter (first time for both of us). Stayed for the entire 6 hour 27 minute marathon last night. Something we will always remember even if the play wasn't stellar.

That's awesome! I think that's what makes baseball the greatest game in the world. Some of the best memories of our lives likely happened at a ballpark. To share with your kid(s) is just icing on the cake.
