I agree with Rey....He looks like a cover Cb to me, not an NFL Safety.

He ain't no Dawkins that is for damn sure....Looks very very similar to Nate Allen coming out of college.

If we are just going to measure off Dawkins we might as well be pissing in the wind Wings. Dawkins will probably the best safety any of us will ever see play for this team.

Understood.....But damn give me a Safety that is at least Built and or looks like a Safety, hits like a safety....You look at those Seattle Safety's neither of them look anything like this kid.

Randall can play, I mean i am watching more and more tape....he has game no doubt....much better cover guy than Byron Jones.....But the thing that really bother me about this kid is his smallish size...he looks like a decent wrap up tackler, not a fierce hitter and he can certainly be run the fuck over.

^^^ This. His tackling is solid for a Corner, but I think he would struggle going head first with some of these pro Backs and TE's.

You cant have a safety who cant tackle period. Yes he can cover but he has a long way to go as far as tackling goes. Byron Jones, Eric Rowe, Arian Amos all are way ahead of this kid at safety. Rey you may be right e may be a better corner. Certainly not something you take at 20.

Thinking they would like to essentially turn Kendricks into Randall.

I'd rather get a WR, or CB in the 1st. And wait til the 3rd for a S, and pick Amos. He's solid, but not spectacular, and that's all we need for now. Or even Ibraheim Campbell if Amos is gone.

WOW chew on this one for a second...

Browns trade 12, 19 and next years 2nd rd pick to Titans
Eagles trade Bradford, #20 Boykin and Kendricks to browns
and Eagles swing Cox to Titans
Eagles agree to take on the contract of Johnny Manziel

So Titans get 12, 19 Browns 2nd next year Fletcher Cox DT
Browns get #20, Sam Bradford, Kendricks and Boykin
Eagles get Marcus Mariota, Johnny Manziel

Yes we would lose Cox, but we would not lose any draft picks at all.....Clearly if you can get creative enough a 3 way trade can get Mariota to us....It will have to be creative though.

As much as Id hate to lose Cox, I'd make this deal. That's not a bad list of QBs to have. This assuming Johnny Football can get his act together. Chip would have a field day with these guys. Furthermore, we would only lose our 20th pick.

Bradford can say all he wants......however he has a 1 year contract....then the Browns can Franchise tag him....either way he won't have a choice.
Why would the Browns put themselves into this situation? Why trade for a guy who doesn't want to play for your franchise? This would be a cancer for the team potentially.

They wouldn't put the franchise tag on a guy with his injury history

Lets ignore the swap of pick 19 for 20. That is just silly. Titans are getting a 2nd next year and Cox to move down 10 spots. Okay, that is not unreasonable.

Lets ignore Boykins as well. He is a 5th rounder at best. Browns are getting Bradford and Kendricks for picks 12 and 19. Don't think so. Eagles are looking for a 2nd rounder for Kendricks and the Browns were willing to give up pick 19 for Bradford. No way are they sweetening that to 12 and giving 19 for Kendricks. I think you would have to throw in next year's number one to complete the deal.

Now ask yourself, why should the Browns include the Eagles in this sort of deal? Bradford is on record as saying no way to Cleveland, and Cleveland could essentially just offer the two picks to Tennessee and end up with a QB, who although he may not want to play for them (MM), he has no leverage, and would suck it up and put on the Brown's hat.

I am still in the camp that this deal sailed away the day they traded for Bradford. You don't think these personnel guys are all over this, and proposed things every which way to sunday way back then? Only when they convinced themselves that MM was not going to happen did they pull the trigger on Bradford.

The Eagles will draft:

1. Byron Jones at 20.
2. Trade Kendricks in round 2, and use the pick on either Rowe or Randall.
3. Draft a WR in Round 2 as well.
4. Load up on Offensive lineman in the 3rd and 4th rounds.

Its further ludicrous that the Eagles would do the Brown's the "favor" of taking on Johnny Football's contract

Johnny Manziel Contract, Salary Cap Details & Breakdowns | Spotrac

Over half of the contract was already paid in advance by the Browns as signing bonus. Going forward its a pretty great deal and the sort that a team probably would be pretty happy to have...even if he is only a backup. Not to mention that little of it is guaranteed. If they don't like him at the his yearly rate, they can just cut him. They don't need a a trade partner to pick up the cost.

I would be more on board with the Titans wanting Bradford, and no need to include Cleveland in any deal. Being able to offer Bradford, Kendricks, Cox, Boykins, and Pick 20 would probably seal the deal, mainly because I think Cox is that valuable. Trading away Cox, who is under contract at a reasonable rate for two more years, could fall in the category of mortgaging the present actually.
