Fletcher Cox is worth a top 5 pick himself, no question.

seems to me, if CK has the type of ego being said, and he thinks he is the smartest man and that he can do things with people that other coaches don't agree with -- we could see a lot of 'reaches' in his drafting as he values guys better than others. And I don't have an issue with him trying to do this - but I do have a problem when he picks guys rounds earlier that were not needed, or pays guys millions more than was not needed as well. As I've said - he seems to sell low and buy high.

Randall would be a good add, but if we're going for a smaller playmaking safety I would just grab Derron Smith in the mid rounds instead of taking Randall in the 1st.

I realize that safeties are in short supply in the NFL right now but Randall simply does not scream first round prospect to me. He may be a good ball hawking free safety, but he is smaller. He is a second or third round talent. At least some of the teams that reached for safeties last year, like Arizona, got good size-speed prospects.

He's not that small. 5'10/5'11 and 200 can be built enough to play safety in this league. Those guys can get up towards 210 too as they grow into their mid 20s. But he has been dinged up, he also left his baseball career due to a shoulder injury, and in the end he may have trouble holding up. A playmaker is a playmaker though and it's hard to find safeties for this league. Better to reach a little than to have a huge hole on the field. Personally though I'd take my chances with Quentin Rollins.

If we took him in the second I would be totally OK with it, but not with the 20th overall pick.

Collins reportedly doesn't cover well enough for an NFL safety. He would work in some schemes but probably not ours. Again, in the second round he would be good, but at 20 I want a strong, sure thing that fills a need. Jake Fisher or Byron Jones.

Yes we would lose Cox, but we would not lose any draft picks at all.....Clearly if you can get creative enough a 3 way trade can get Mariota to us....It will have to be creative though.

Actually, it would be #20, Cox, Foles, a 4th this year, and a 2nd next year for Mariota, a 5th round pick, and a conditional pick next year.

In Kiper's last mock he has the Steelers taking him at #22.

Look like this kid moved up on a lot of boards.

The secondary guys are usually rated wildly different by the teams than by the internet draft community. Year after year they have the order wrong, the specific position wrong, and the round wrong. More so than other positions. Randall will be one of the top DBs off the board. Maybe right after KJ. Definitely one of the top 5.
