Mike Mayock Draft Chat and Top 5 Lists - Hogs Haven

He thinks we should target the o and d lines. Plus says possible Wr. Shark you love it. Mayock thinks Kojo will be gone by 34 but Moses Could be gone by 34. I think he has that reversed. He like Bitanio and he can be a week 1 starter for us and Bitano should be there when we pick.

In about .5 Days we will know for sure who will be available to us at 34. Im not sure its a good Idea we base the pick off of who could be a day one starter for us. Moe ot the point is that just because a guy COULD be a starter as a rookie, does not always mean he SHOULD. Week one of last year you really think Reed Doughty would have missed as many of the open field tackles that Rambo did against Philly?? If we come out of the draft with six guys who can contribute but not a single one of them will start, I would be much happier than coming out with a guy who could start.

One could argue that there have been many great NFL players that were just "average" in college.

You really can't see how he is a stretch?

You think being capable of playing, not excelling, makes him worth the pick?

He also will not be a tackle in the NFL so he can't play anywhere on the OL.

Bitoinio is a jack of all trades and a master of none. Would not be a bad pickup in the third round. BUt at #34..... not so much.

If a good pick isn't there, I say trade down. We can not mess up on this first pick. It's bad enough we don't have a 1st rounder. I don't want to trade up, either. Period. The draft just needs to be played in a way to where the BPA falls to us, no matter what the position. If it is a CB or a WR, so be it. I don't want to get a player, who we could've gotten in later rounds. That's not the business.

We can'mess up on the'2nd pick hit a home run on the third the best we can do is draft bpa at any poistion of need or not need out of the 6 picks I be happy with 1 starter 2 back ups. If we do more then that this draft would be a great draft

Its going to be real hard for a good pick not to be there. There is just so much talent in this draft. There are over 40 players with average grades in the first round. We just need to be flexible in the positions they play. The only positions I wouldn't take at 34 are QB and RB. Anywhere else we can use the talent as either immediate starters or talent to groom for starters later in the year or next year when we lose the vets we have under 1 year contracts (S, ILB, OLB, T, G, C, TE, etc).

I agree but I wouldn't take a safety, ILB(unless its Mosely), C at 34.

Should be home run'value at 34 at center ,te, like I was saying 2 months ago if you want a instint starter I look at center and te, if you looking for depth and might start later in the season rt,wr,cb dl,safety, if you'just looking for'depth maybe someday'to be a starter I go qb,rb,og, this is how I look at the 34th pick only.

How wouldn't Moses or Kojo be an instant starter at RT coach?
