Dean, I don't think Redskins Nation would be as pissed as you think. Benjamin has the potential to be a difference maker. Robinson, I would be dismayed about, but it only depends on who else is on the board at 34 that we pass on.

See i never get that. If the team decides to take a player its likely because they feel that player will help the team more than another player they could have taken. Either you have faith in the new front office or you dont. You dont get to say I have faith only if they take the player or position I think would be best. Thats where we differ. If they Draft Moses, Filo or any of the others most of Redskins nation is clamoring for, and pass on Benjamin I wont be pissed. I might consider O-line a bit of a mulligan. But I trust the coaches know best what they think we need.

There were polls out there that asked redskins fans on what position they wanted to draft. Oline was first, Safety was 2nd and CB was 3rd. Benjamin is one of the biggest risks of this draft and you guys want him at 34. Unbelievable. Very bad worth ethic to boot.

Most Redskins fans would have had us take some one other than Amerson last year. And I seem to remember people up in arms over us passing on an O-lineman that eventually went in the 6th round in order to draft Reed last year. As far as Benjamin being the "biggest risk" in this draft... thats your opinion and i think you have formed that opinion to help convince yourself that there is no way the Skins will take him even if he is there.

And yet there are only 3-4 opinions that actually matter. And remember the majority of the talking heads you are putting your faith in also thought Jamarcus Russell was a franchise QB.

And show me as to where "every one " who covers the draft see's Benjamin as the biggest risk in this draft.

Yep - some of the same fans & "experts" who wanted them to trade the farm for Bradford or pick Gabbert high in the 1st round. How would that have worked out? Who cares with these people think. As you alluded to Shark - you need to have faith in the FO & trust that they make decent moves (certainly not all of them will pan out - just hoping for a high rate of success). Time will tell.

I love watching everyone get all worked up over the draft every year. Its like the lifetime channel....but for dudes. I use to get all worked up as well and then I realized...There is never a sure thing, and its mostly luck.

See, dean, I don't get this attitude. First, RT was not the weak link in our OL last year, it was C and both Gs. We got rid of our center, but didn't upgrade as Licht is way undersized for C. Moreover, we still have Chester who was probably the worst OL for us last year. And the guys we signed in FA are by no means upgrades. So I would think you would be clamoring for a C or G before RT. I don't get this hate for Polubus. He is no stud, but he's also not the worst in the league.

Second, I would think you would want us to take the best player available. This has been proven out as the best strategy for drafting time and again. You get more productive keepers with this strategy than chasing players at a specific position. That's how we got Jordan Reed last year. Everyone was scratching their heads over that pick, but it worked out, right? The same could be said for WR. It may not appear that we need a WR right now, but with a key injury or 2 and all the sudden we are looking at starting WRs of Roberts, Moss, and Robinson.

Don't get me wrong I would like a guard or Center too. The Richburg kid in the 3rd round would be ideal. People were scratching there heads about the Reed pick b/c no one knew about Davis' situation. The guy is a head case plus he was a FA. So the Skins just took the next TE off the board. If Garcon and Jackson both go down from injury we are in trouble. Very doubtful.


Polubus is a journeyman RT. He is on the team b/c he was a fit for Shanny offense.
