Longest FG in the history of the NFL
63 was the previous record

He might have this record for some time. That's a long ass distance to accurately kick a football.
Cool to see that record finally broken, but with the altitude in Denver it felt like Usain Bolt running a 9.4 with a 25mph tail wind. Only difference is the FG counts.
If Janikowski played his entire career in Denver the record would be 70+.
Fair point. At the same time, in the NFL, unlike in track, weather and altitude aren't considered in official record keeping. Good news for you, however, is that your boys have a chance to take advantage of that altitude this Thursday.![]()
There's a lot of guys in the NFL who can make it from further. Greg Zuerlein, for example, hits 70 harders in practice routinely. It's rare for a situation to arise to try one that one long, but one of these days, a big legged kicker like Janikowski or Zuerlein will make a 68+ yarder with the wind in Denver. I'm honestly surprised it hasn't happened yet.
LOL, if we're kicking field goals I'll be turning it off early. Chargers need to score 40+ then pray it's enough.
When the ball kicks off I'll be cheering for my team, but honestly I'm more about draft pick position right now. Telesco had a fantastic first draft and if he can repeat we'll be making some noise next year.
