Some thoughts:
1)Pretty much all the bitching in this thread is correct,
2)The defense is just underperforming - by all measurements
3) first tough game since week 1
4) maybe we "needed" the loss?
5) some of the CB's have taken a step back but really, they need to look back!
6) we have some rookies learning while some guys are getting old
7) the defense seems to lack leadership?
8) I wish we were not playing SF this week - I don't want to drift back to complacency.....

4) I was just thinking this as well. Like the KC ass whoopin. Maybe this turns them around. Even when they've been playing well it appears they are just going thru the motions. Something needs to give them a spark. They need a big Defensive day soon. Not sure it happens this weekend. I think Kap picks up a lot of yards with his legs Sunday.

Perhaps they did "need" a wake up call but hello that should have been the Bills game, granted the offense sucked major balls then too.

They just haven't seemed "prepared" to play though and that's clearly on the coaching... But as WEEI pointed out there truly hasn't been an elite D out there the entire year and they are ranked why 15th? So I guess not that bad.
