Agreed I thought that was a bad look. If he wants to privately tell them that going after Machado 2 days later and at his head is not how you do it, fine. But blowing up in the dugout like that was not the right way to go about that.

Pedroia probably told them to go after him on Friday... Not that night and therefore he was right in saying he didn't tell Barnes to throw at Machado

I don't think what Pedroia said was wrong, but yelling it at the top step of the dugout in front of your teammates is not okay.

Or walk away from the top step and not stare at him. Talk to him after the game once he talked to Farrell. He did not have to yell at him and point to his teammates and say "it was these guys, not me" in front of everyone.

Yes, I understand everything that happened. What I don't like is him yelling at Machado "it wasn't me, it was these guys" right in front of his teammates. I'm sure there are plenty of players who have disagreed with a retaliation their team decided to do, and they all haven't stood on the dugout and yelled "I'm on your side!"

I think he just did that because he got caught up in the moment. But who knows.

I'm sure he did and that's fine, shit happens. I'm not saying he's a piss poor leader or anything, I'm saying I didn't like what he did. He would probably agree as he mentioned something along the lines of "I wish the cameras weren't focused directly on me at that moment."
