Barkley in preseason:

27-52, 51.9% completions, 351 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs, 7 yds rushing, 0 TDs.

Tebow was particularly better in the final game, which is what it came down to.

I wouldn't say he beat him. He just fits the system better. Did he beat him out statistically? I honestly don't know. Not to mention, they have a backup QB in Tebow they can actually use situationally in games. Whereas Barkley was never seeing the field.

BTW, I'm just going by what I've heard from analysts and from what I saw in the one game I did watch a bit of. Barkley actually looked decent. Tebow looked like Tebow. Inability to throw, but could run. Just because I dont' know how they stacked up statistically doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about.

No, Tebow outplayed Barkley, only in the last game. Even Skip, Tebow's biggest fan, said he outplayed Tebow in those first 3 games. Not only that, Barkley played against better competition.

Like someone said earlier, Tebow's style fit this team better. Plus, they been tried to trade Barkley.

Personally, I would say Barkley outplayed Tebow in the first game, the two were equally bad in the second and third, and then Tebow won the fourth and final comparison in pretty convincing fashion.

Just to be clear, I am no Tebow fan. Most of us in the Philly forum hate Tebow. We even have a thread titled "Tim Tebow BLOWS".

But...Barkley blows harder. Sad but true.

That would make sense, but it's not clear Washington would give him up to a division rival cheap.
