Spurrier's rookie year as HC Lewis was our Def Co. It was said that it was Lewis and not Spurrier who did a lotta the shit that a HC is supposed to do that year due to Spurrier's inexperience.

Not saying this is what happened, but it wouldn't surprise if at some point when Lewis n Spurrier were both here in 2002. That ol' Danny boy thought he should've hired Lewis to be HC instead of Spurrier.

One story leaked that Spurrier canceled practice because it was raining. Lewis asked Steve why practice was canceled and that was the answer he got. Lewis took his defense out and practiced anyway.
