I missed the first inning, but Marte made a great relay throw to the plate that should have prevented the first 2 runs and of course scored our only run. Will definitely help to have him back.

I agree it helps having him in the lineup. I just can't agree that his absence allowed all those runs and caused our pitching to implode. Difference of opinion on that.

yeah no doubt it will be nice having him back and it will help the team win. When I look back the last 10 games or so I don't think the results are different if we had Martin and Marte in the lineup during those games.

I would guess Mariners short stops have made close to the most errors in the league so far for the position. I know Marte had a pretty high amount of errors before getting hurt and his replacements were seemingly making errors often. Marte aint Iglesias or Bogaerts

Of course Marte's absence didn't cause the dip in pitching. Dips in pitching can and often do happen on their own without a detectable cause. These are humans playing this game. A .250 hitter doesn't go 1 for 4 every night for 162 games. Going to be both 0-fers and multi hit games sprinkled around. The starters were bad for about a week. I have no doubt that the staff is better represented by the first 45 games of the season than the last 7 or 8 and is going to be better from here on out than they have been lately.
