Nick Willams hit his 25th double tonight. Phils need hitting like that. Cozens got his 82nd RBI for Reading.

Holy shit, I know RBI's are useless, but 82 in July? Nice

Great, Daniel Stumpf is in the house, back from his suspension. I hope he ate his "Wheaties" today (wink, wink)

They're not gay though (not that there's anything wrong with it) . They just can't afford to rent a place on the major league minimum. 430k a year doesn't go as far as it used to

Im ready to see some roster changes. Also, i like Franco, but hes not a 3 hole hitter. Ultimately, once simply better players like Crawford, Williams, Alfaro, etc are up, maybe even Cozens. I see Franco has a guy that will end up hitting like 6th when its all said and done.

Yeah, they have help on the way, but at the moment the Phillies have a bunch of RBI guys and not enough Get On Base guys. With that middle of the lineup yesterday the game plan must have been "hold the other team to a run or two and see how many solo HRs we can hit". Unfortunately, they only hit one.

Franco has been a disappointment this year, but we have to remember he's still only 23, and shown signs of being an elite third baseman. He's also hit less balls on the ground. He's just swinging at way too many balls (32.3% O-Swing %)

I'm hoping for a few roster moves by the deadline and that they'll give the pigs' Williams a shot, currently .290/.325/.463, 25 2b, and overall a .295 hitter after 5 years in the minors. A wicked line drive hitter too.
