Mark Cuban would be great for MLB attendance and TV ratings as well as a great team owner...get off the old boys network and into the present...

Well, he should be allowed to buy a team. He has the money and interest. They just know he'll remain outspoken, and the senior owners won't be able to control him, and that's threatening to them.

Cuban has been good for the NBA. He'd be good for MLB. He's a dedicated owner who actually wants his team to improve and win. Owners like that are getting rarer and rarer.

Mabe, but I am glad now that he didn't get the Dodgers. I don't think he had the deep pockets that the current owners of the Los Angeles Dodgers has and Magic Johnson has a vested interest in the community. Cuban doesn't care about the community of Los Angeles and it would have been strictly a business investment and that might be some of the things that the other owners looked at. They understand that owned a basketball team in Dallas and a baseball team in Los Angeles could be a conflict of interest down the road if money were tight.

That's fair, but I'm not sure he was ever really in on the Dodgers. He was mainly interested in the Cubs, and the Astros to a lesser extent.
