I always agree with the wait and see approach but I even like to stretch it out to 4-5 yrs with these kids. See how defenses adjust and then see how they adjust to that. The good ones have it between the ears. I think this kid appears to have the poise and smarts to succeed but time will tell the tale.

I didn't see him much last year, but, yes, any decent QB can throw to open receivers. The question is, can he throw receivers open? I don't know. Anybody?

I don't think there's any doubt that he's the real deal. But it's crazy to expect him to put up close to the same numbers on a yearly basis.

It's very likely that he's had the best season he'll ever have (barring more rule changes) statistically. He can still get better as a player, so it'll be interesting as to what he'll do as a followup.

Having said that....since it looks as if they're having a special HOF induction class this year....why wait...

Mahomes first season as starter > Wentz's first season as starter, so he must be phenomenal and a future HOF'er.

Dunno about that, but do reckon he is mighty elusive and makes some great throws. He should continue to put up decent numbers, unless ALL the supporting cast gets suspensions, prison time, etc.

He's played one season as a starter. Put up outrageous numbers. He's done enough. Oh, he doesn't need a ring to be Top 5 All-time.



C'mon. Let's see him do it again, at least, and maybe 5-6 years before he's anointed the best.

Rodgers has never put up those kind of numbers and he is considered the best in the universe. Therefore, Mahomes 1st ballot if he retires tomorrow. Book it

And it is possible there isn’t much of a conversation to be had. Mahomes is going to have better numbers. The question is will he have the Super Bowl rings?
