So more games played means better season?

Runs: 82 to 88
HRs: 32 to 11
RBIs: 105 to 106
OPS: .892 to .854
WAR: 5.6 to 2.1

All this in 35 fewer games

Alright, fine. I still think he was more valuable. Beltre's injury would have been a lot more noticeable if not for MY. Can you imagine Quintanilla or German starting those 40 games at 3rd?

When you are on paternity leave you are not on the active roster ... days you are on restricted list ... aren't days off.

And he took my comment out of context.

so days off only count if the manager benches you and here i thought if you weren't in the lineup no matter what that constituted a day off. silly me

:L The whole discussion was about the fact that Wash's refusal to willingly give MY any days off while he was struggling so badly actually contributed to his struggles, and how when the decisions were taken out of Wash's hands due to paternity leave MY actually has been much improved since then. This proves my point that MY should've been being given time off to keep his feet under him. Now that I've spelled it out for the second or third time, What is so difficult about that to comprehend?

Stop looking for the littlest bit of anything to hold on to so you can think you were right.

:L Way to defend yourself. It has been just pitiful to watch you flail like a fish out of water. Have a nice day.

Nice catch by Joyce ... good thing MY erased Cruz with a GDP ahead of him so Joyce didn't have to worry about a runner scoring if he missed it.

Wrong thread. :boink:

Scheduling into the post season sets up a very interesting possibility for TEX.

If season were to end with the standings as they are now ... BAL is ALWC1 and OAK ALWC2.

TEX finishes the regular season in OAK ... so after the final out of game 162 ... OAK would have to fly to BAL for its one game play in ... and if it wins in BAL ... it has to fly all the way back to OAK to meet TEX the next night in the first of 2 games in OAK.

So ... TEX just needs to sit and wait and see if OAK wins. If BAL wins ... then TEX has to fly to BAL ... but it would need to travel to the WC city regardless. Since it is sitting (and resting) in one of the two WC cities at the end of the season. TEX gets a break due to the regular season schedule ... and might not have to travel for the beginning of the ALDS at all.

Oakland - 11

LA - 7

Seattle - Eliminated

Needing to go 9-4 to hit the 98-64 mark I predicted...

Magic Number Update...

Oakland - 10

LA - 5

Seattle - Eliminated

If all goes according to plan... Rangers should clinch at home sometime between September 25th - 30th.

Would love for it to be against Oakland...but Friday, September 28th against the Halos sounds great too.
