Dirty scummy play!
You don't slide that far away from the bag!
Yeah I've got no problem with that.
It's a legal play, he didn't lift his cleats up to dig him. What's the alternative? He collides with him a la Albert Belle/Jose Vina? Does he just stand there blocking the throw? You're joking right? Absolutely no business sliding like he did there

Ty Cobb used to sharpen his cleats before game time, but i get what you are saying.

If the 2nd baseman enters the runners path while fielding the play its not interferenceI'm kind of confused about the rules here.
A few weeks back, didn't we have a play where a batter was called safe because of pitcher's interference. When throwing the ball to first, he no longer had the ball and therefore was guilty of interference?
So, wouldn't that letter of the law mean that once the fielder threw the ball, he was in Machado's way and therefore guilty of interference?
People talk about baseball's unwritten rules. They need to fix the ones that are written.
Especially the fucktardian ones.
