I do remember that some of us on this forum pondered if his career would be the same after that injury. He certainly didn't look the same after he came off the 7 day IL for concussions in 2018.

There were stories of his gf/fiancé (whatever) was really worried because he was a different person after the accident. In the article, it mentions how the injury turned his whole life upside down. I guess that means he lost his girl.

Yeah, I remember reading that toward the end of the 2018 season (his gf's quotation). That could well be the case that he's no longer able to play baseball and lost his woman. Concussions can have nasty long term effects.
