I thought it was really good about 90% of the way through, but kind of died toward the end, focusing too much on setting up another season.

Bushmaster's arc was definitely disappointing. No doubt.
Just finished the season today. I wouldn't say his arc was disappointing as much as the seasons was. Everyone essentially worked with everyone at certain points and it just never really jibed for me. I don't know anything about the source material to know what they were trying to set up, if anything with certain characters.

I am through episode 4, I feel like this show is a giant advertisement for random jazz musicians. At this point the music is highlighted so much more than the show I don't see why they bother paying actors to talk over it.

at points they don't bother adding any dialogue, but just show reactionary shots. think krs-one did a whole song during the third half of one episode.

I enjoyed season two quite a bit. I didn't like the ending though.

The music focus is about the same as it was in S1. I think it is the genre they are shooting for (70s blacksploitation).

I haven't caught any marvel shows outside of netflix and Legion. Not sure what cloak and dagger is about, but have been thinking about giving the runaways a shot.
The only reason I suggest moving Rossi to C&D is because Shades has dealings with them in the comics. And there a lot of NO under-the-breath references in S2 that it seems they were planting the seeds for why he would turn up in NO.

I should probably start watching that show.

But Shades 100% has stolen the show so far in Luke Cage (through like 6 or 7 episodes).

I still think Colter holds it all together in the end. Shades is still playing Juice in my eyes.

I don’t have an issue with colter.

The writers have made like rather uninteresting halfway through

If you watch the season one shooting at Pop's you'll notice Shades isn't holding the gun he is holding during the flashback to the shooting in season two.

I wonder if this is because Luke wants it to be true or because Shades believes he could/should have done something.

The actor playing Mariah Dillard is not a good actress.

Nothing like a good ole fashioned major plot hole in episode 9.

"a Rand safe house" doesn't mean that chick knows exactly where people are.

The city probably has dozens of potential places.

In fairness though, you think the writers of Full House are awesome.

It seems like they try to feature artists from Harlem, Queens, Brooklyn, and NYC in general.

They had Stephen Marley in one episode. The Marleys are more Miami based, aren’t they?

His wiki says he grew up in Jamaica and lives in Miami. His appearance probably has more to do with the Jamaican influence of season 2. Not all of them are from NY but for the most part they seem to be especially the rap artists. You've got Mobb Deep, KRS One, Ghostface Killah, Wu-Tang Clan, D-Nice, Jakim, Jadakiss, and probably a bunch more I'm forgetting that are New York artists.

I think it makes sense if they are all NY based artists. It is supposed to be a connected, influential LOCAL club. So logic would dictate that the acts would be either current up-and-comers or established acts paying homage to where they came up.

Either way, even though the music isn’t my cup-o-tea, I like that aspect of the show.
